Box 30136, 10101, Lusaka, Price K4.00 each Supplement to the Republic of Zambia Government 1103 Gazette dated Friday, 30th December, 2016 GOVERNMENT OF ZAMBIA STATUTORY INSTRUMENT NO. 106 OF 2016 The Lands Act (Laws, Volume 12, Cap. 184) The Lands (Ground Rent, Fees and Charges (Amendment) Regulations, 2016 IN EXERCISE of the powers contained in section 31 of the Lands Act, the following Regulations are made: 1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Lands (Ground Rent, Fees and Charges) (Amendment) Regulations, 2016, and shall be read as one with the Lands (Ground Rent, Fees and Charges) Regulations, 2006, in these Regulations referred to as the principal Regulations. (2) These Regulations shall come into effect on 1st January, 2017. 2. The second Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended in— (a) Part I by the deletion of the words “market value” and the substitution therefor, of the words “5 per cent of the market value or K5,000, whichever is higher”; and (b) Part II by the deletion of the words “market value” and the substitution therefor, of the words “10 per cent of the market value or K15,000, whichever is higher”.
