MARINE LIVING RESOURCES ACT, 1998 (ACT NO. 18 OF 1998) DECLARATION OF THE PRINCE EDWARD ISLANDS MARINE PROTECTED AREA I, Bomo Edith Edna Molewa, Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, hereby declare, in terms of section 43(1) of the Marine Living Resources Act, 1998 (Act No. 18 of 1998), the areas set out in the Schedule hereto to be a marine protected area. BOMO DNA MOLEWA MINISTER OF WATER AND ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS STAATSKOERANT, 21 JUNIE 2013 No. 36575 13 This gazette is also available free online at www.gpwonline.co.za No. 426 21 June 2013 SCHEDULE Boundaries of the Marine Protected Area The Prince Edward Islands Marine Protected Area is the area within the polygon bounded by lines sequentially joining the points 1,2,3,4,5,6,19,17,16, 15, 14, 13,12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7 and back to 1. The lines shall be straight lines with the exception of between points 6, 19 and 17; and between 12 and 13; and 1 and 7, where they shall be curved to follow the boundary of the Exclusive Economic Zone as shown in Figure 1.
