Commencement. SCHEDULE Assent: 28/12/98 Commencement: 20/01/99 An Act to amend the Maritime Act [CAP 131]. BE IT ENACTED by the President and Parliament as follows: AMENDMENTS OF THE MARITIME ACT 1. The Maritime Act [CAP 131] is amended as set out in the Schedule and the transitional provision in that Schedule has effect according to its terms. COMMENCEMENT 2. Section 2 Repeal the section. 3. Subsection l5(2) Delete "Minister", substitute "Maritime Appeal Tribunal established by the Vanuatu Maritime Authority Act No. 29 of 1998." 4. Paragraph 150(3) Omit "Commissioner of Maritime Affairs or his appointed representative, acting as sole arbitrator", substitute "Maritime Appeal Tribunal established by the Vanuatu Maritime Authority Act No. 29 of 1998." © 2005 University of the South Pacific
