Forestry Rights Registration and Timber Harvest Guarantee (Amendment) Act 2012 REPUBLIC OF VANUATU FORESTRY RIGHTS REGISTRATION AND TIMBER HARVEST GUARANTEE (AMENDMENT) ACT NO. 8 OF 2012 Arrangement of Sections 1 Amendment 2 Commencement Assent: 30/05/12 Commencement: 09/01/13 FORESTY RIGHTS REGISTRATION AND TIMBER HARVEST GUARANTEE (AMENDMENT) ACT NO.8 OF 2012 An Act to amend the Forestry Rights Registration and Timber Harvest Guarantee Act [CAP 265]. Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows http://www.paclii.org/vu/legis/consol act/frrathga603/ http://www.paclii.org/vu/legis/consol act/frrathga603/ http://www.paclii.org/vu/legis/consol act/frrathga603/ 1 Amendment The Forestry Rights Registration and Timber Harvest Guarantee Act [CAP 265] is amended as set out in the Schedule. 2 Commencement This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette. SCHEDULE AMENDMENTS OF THE FORESTRY RIGHTS REGISTRATION AND TIMBER HARVEST GUARANTEE ACT [CAP 265] 1 Subsection 12(2) http://www.paclii.org/vu/legis/consol act/frrathga603/ http://www.paclii.org/vu/legis/consol act/frrathga603/ http://www.paclii.org/vu/legis/consol act/frrathga603/ http://www.paclii.org/vu/legis/consol act/frrathga603/ After “operations” insert “and in relation to purchasing or trading of sandalwood and the processing and exporting of sandalwood, sandalwood oil or any sandalwood product derived from harvesting operations” 2 At the end of section 15 Add “(5) The owner of the accredited timber plantation must report to the Director General on the following matters: (a) the amount of timber that is harvested; and (b) the amount of sandalwood harvested, traded, processed or exported.”
