FISH AND GAME CODE - FGC DIVISION 2. DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE [700 - 1940] ( Heading of Division 2 amended by Stats. 2015, Ch. 154, Sec. 21. ) CHAPTER 2. Deputies, and Other Employees; County Wardens [850 - 882] ( Chapter 2 enacted by Stats. 1957, Ch. 456. ) ARTICLE 2. County Fish and Game Wardens [875 - 882] ( Article 2 enacted by Stats. 1957, Ch. 456. ) 875. The board of supervisors of each county may, in its discretion, appoint a suitable person to serve for a period of two years from the date of his appointment as fish and game warden of the county. (Enacted by Stats. 1957, Ch. 456.) 876. The board of supervisors shall fix the salary to be paid and the expenses to be allowed the county fish and game warden, which salary and expenses shall be paid from the county treasury. (Enacted by Stats. 1957, Ch. 456.) 877. The board may by a majority vote of its members remove the warden at any time. (Enacted by Stats. 1957, Ch. 456.) 878. The county fish and game warden shall enforce the state laws relating to the protection of fish and game. The warden has the powers and authority conferred by law upon peace officers listed in Section 830.6 of the Penal Code. (Amended by Stats. 1986, Ch. 817, Sec. 3.) 879. The board of supervisors of each county may, in its discretion, appoint a deputy fish and game warden, to serve at the pleasure of the board. (Enacted by Stats. 1957, Ch. 456.) 881.
