Regional Health Authorities (Amendment) Act, 2012 (No. 8 of 2012)

AN ACT to amend the Regional Health Authorities Act, Chap. 29:05 [Assented to 6th June, 2012] ENACTED by the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago as follows: 1. This Act may be cited as the Regional Health Authorities (Amendment) Act, 2012. Enactment Short title Second Session Tenth Parliament Republic of Trinidad and Tobago REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO Act No. 8 of 2012 [L.S.] Legal Supplement Part A to the “Trinidad and Tobago Gazette”, Vol. 51, No. 105A, 12th June, 2012 2. Section 20 of the Regional Health Authorities Act is amended by inserting after subsection (1) the following subsection: “ (1A) Notwithstanding subsection (1) and where it is economically expedient to do so, a Board may— (a) pursuant to an agreement with any other Authority; (b) in accordance with regulations made under this Act for the purposes of this subsection; and (c) acting on behalf of its Authority and an Authority referred to in paragraph (a), invite, consider, accept or reject offers, and enter into contracts for the supply of goods or the undertaking of works or services necessary for carrying out the objects of the respective Authorities.”.
