Miscellaneous Amendments (Powers of Statutory Authorities and Matters related to certain Boards) Act (No. 28 of 2020)

(a) in section 3(2), by deleting the word “nine” amended and substituting the word “eleven”;

(b) by inserting after section 26, the following section: “Power to 26A. (1) The Authority may, issue subject to the approval of the Minister of Finance, raise money securities by the issue of securities required by it for meeting any of its obligations and discharging of any of its functions. (2) For the purposes of this section, “security” has the meaning assigned to it under the Securities Act.”; and

(c) in section 28(1), by inserting after the words “section 26(2)”, the words “or section 26A”. 8. The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission Chap. 54:70 Act is amended in section 21— amended (a) in subsection (1) by— (i) deleting the word “President” and substituting the words “Minister of Finance”; (ii) deleting the full stop at the end of paragraph (e) and substituting the words “; or”; and (iii) inserting after paragraph (e), the following paragraph: “(f) such other purposes as the Minister of Finance may approve.”; and 794 No. 28 Miscellaneous Amendments (Powers of Statutory 2020 Authorities and Matters related to certain Boards) (b) by inserting after subsection (2), the following subsection: “(3) For the purposes of this section, “security” has the meaning assigned to it under the Chap. 83:02 Securities Act.”.
