ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND MANAGEMENT ACT (CHAPTER 94A, SECTION 77) ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND MANAGEMENT (COMPOSITION OF OFFENCES) REGULATIONS Rg 7 G.N. No. S 292/1999 REVISED EDITION 2008 (1st April 2008) [1st July 1999] Citation 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Environmental Protection and Management (Composition of Offences) Regulations. Composition of offences 2. The following offences may be compounded by the Director-General or any authorised officer in accordance with section 72(1) of the Act: (a) any offence under section 7(3), 8(3), 9(2), 11(1), 12(1), 14(2), 15(1), 16(3), 23(3), 33(1A), 35(6), 40C(2), 40D(5), 40I(4), 40J(2), 40K, 44A(3) or 50A(2) of the Act; [S 486/2011 wef 01/09/2011] (b) any offence under regulation 6 of the Environmental Protection and Management (Boundary Noise Limits for Factory Premises) Regulations (Rg 1) in connection with any failure to comply with regulation 3 of those Regulations; (c) any offence under regulation 5 of the Environmental Protection and Management (Control of Noise at Construction Sites) Regulations (Rg 2) in connection with any failure to comply with regulation 3 of those Regulations; (d) any offence under regulation 25 of the Environmental Protection and Management (Hazardous Substances) Regulations (Rg 4) in connection with any contravention of regulation 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 18, 21(3), 23 or 24 of those Regulations; (e) any offence under regulation 12 of the Environmental Protection and Management (Trade Effluent) Regulations (Rg 5) in connection with any contravention of regulation 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 or 10 of those Regulations; (f) any offence under regulation 11(2), 12(4) or (6), 15(7), 19(2), 20(2), 21(3), 21A(2) or 22(2) of the Environmental Protection and Management (Vehicular Emissions) Regulations (Rg 6); and (g) any offence under regulation 4(2), 5(2), 7(4) or 8(1) or (2) of the Environmental Protection and Management (Energy Conservation) Regulations (Rg 10).
