i) 3 [i-cgal Notice No. 94 THE FOREST RESOURCES AND TIMBER UTILISATION ACT (Cap. 40) THE FOREST RESOURCES AND TEMBER UTILISATION (PROTECTED SPECIES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2011 In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Minister by section 44 and item 7 of the First Schedule of the Forest Resources and Timber Uulisation Act. the following regulations are hereby made 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Forest Resources and Timber Utilisation (Protected Species) (Amendment) Regulations 2011. N Regulations 2 of the Forest Resources and Vimber Uilisation (Protected Spccies) Regulations (hereinafter referred to as the e “principal regulations”) is amended by deleting paragraph (b)*. 3. By adding after regulation 3 to the principal regulations the following new regulation ~ “4. ‘The species xanthostemon (locally known as Tubi) is permitted to be felled, harvested, removed and exported on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the licence”. cy 4. The Order declaring the species Xanthostemon (tubi) as a protected specics published as LN 79 of 2005 is hereby revoked. Dated at Honiara this nineteenth day of January, 2011.
