No.77 FISHERIES MANAGEMENT (PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2018 IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 129 of the Fisheries Management Act 2015 the Minister for Fisheries and Marine Resources makes the following Regulations: 1 Citation These Regulations may be cited as the Fisheries Management (Prohibited Activities) (Amendment) Regulations 2018. These Regulations commence on the date of publication in the Gazette. 3 Amendment to Schedule (a) Column 2 is amended by deleting clause 1(i)(1) and substituting “whose width is less than 12cm when measured horizontally across the widest part of the carapace; or” (b) Column 2 is amended by inserting after clause 2(ii) the following new paragraph: “(iii) any trochus of the species Trochus niloticus under 8cm or over 12cm diameter as measured across the base of the shell.” (c) Column 2 is amended by inserting after clause 3(v) the following new paragraph: “(vi) any squaretail coral grouper (Plectropomus areolatus), leopard coral grouper (Plectropomus leopardus), camouflage grouper (Epinephelus polyphekadion) and brown marbled grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus): (1) which is less than 45cm in total length when measured from the furthermost point of the snout to the end of the tail; or 937 (2) during the months of October to January.” (d) Column 1 is amended in clause 6 by deleting “in their unprocessed form”.
