1137 PAL 39 THIRD OLBIIL ERA KELULAU Eleventh Regular Session, July 1991 AN ACT RPPL NO.3-55 (Intro. as SB No. 3-289) To amend 27 PNC 167 to require approval of the Olbiil Era Kelulau for foreign fishing agreements. THE PEOPLE OF PALAU REPRESENTED IN THE OLBIIL ERA KELULAU DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Amendments 27 PNC 167 is amended to read as follows: .§l[l., Fishing permits: in general. (b) Fishing permits will only be issued in accordance with a foreign fishing agreement approval by joint resolution of theOlbiil Era Kelulau; provided that permits issued for noncommercial fishing in accordance with Section 1/1 of this title need not be pursuant to a foreign fishing agreement. Section 2. Effective date This Act shall take effect upon the approval by the President of the Republic of Palau, or upon its becoming law without such approval except as otherwise provided by law.
