1. (1) This Act may be called the Sim.lit Local Go,•crnmcnt Short title and (Amendment) Act, 2023. commencement. ... • . t • . .'.; . 2. In the said ~indh Local Government-Act~2013, hereinafter Amendment of referred to us the said Act, in section 18, in sub-se¢tioils.(3), (4), section 18 of Sindh (6), (7), (7 A), (8) und (9), clause (c) thereof, sh.all_be omitted; Act No.XLII of 2013: . .

Provided any person so _elected as th~ Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Chairman or rVicc ~h~ir_man. •of the Council shall not continue to hold the said office unles_s he is elected as a member of the respective Council within a period ·or six months of takirig oath ~f office.".
