Fisheries (Notification of Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki for Area/ Rohe Moana of Te Rūnanga o Ōtākou) Notice 2017 Pursuant to regulation 9(5) of the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regula tions 1999, the Minister for Primary Industries gives the following notice. This notice is made under the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regula tions 1999 (the regulations). It comes into force on the day after the date of its notifi cation in the Gazette and revokes itself at the end of 5 April 2022. The notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by Te Rūnanga o Ōtākou. The area/rohe moana is from Heyward Point to Blackhead in Otago. Notice is given of the reappointment of a Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki for the area/rohe moana. The Minister for Primary Industries made the reappointment at the request of Te Rūnanga o Ōtākou.
