Fisheries (Notification of Tāngata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for Area/ Rohe Moana of Ngāti Kuta-Patukeha) Notice 2017 Pursuant to regulation 10 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998, the Director-General of the Ministry for Primary Industries gives the following notice. (2) The cancellation took effect at the end of 16 February 2017. 6 New appointment (1) The Minister for Primary Industries has appointed Kara George as a Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana. This notice is made under the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998 (the regulations). It comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. The notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by Ngāti Kuta-Patukeha. The area/rohe moana is an area from the Haumi River mouth to Taupiri Bay. Notice is given of the cancellation of 1 Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana and the appointment of a replacement Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki. The Minister for Primary Industries made the appointment at the request of the Waikare Maori Com mittee acting for Te Hapu o Te Kapotai.
