(2) The cancellation took effect at the end of 14 February 2017. 6 New appointment (1) The Minister for Primary Industries has appointed Te Kaha Hawaikirangi as a Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana. Explanatory note This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect. This notice is made under the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998 (the regulations). It comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. The notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by Kahungunu ki Te Matau a Māui. The area/rohe moana is an area from the Port of Napier to Cape Kidnappers. Notice is given of the cancellation of the appointment of a Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana and the appointment of a replacement. The Minister for Primary Industries cancelled the appointment and made the replacement appointment at the re quest of the Waiohiki Marae acting for Ngati Parau Hapū.
