Government Gazette 8 July 1992 No. 434 AGRICULTURAL BANK MATTERS AMENDMENT ACT, 1992 EXPLANATORY NOTE: Words underlined with solid line indicate in sertions in existing enactments. Words in bold type in square brackets indicate omissions from existing enactments. ACT To amend the Agricultural Bank Amendment Act, 1991, so as to make further provision in relation to assis tance rendered in terms of the Agricultural Credit Act, 1966, before the repeal of that Act by the first mentioned Act; and to provide for incidental matters. (Signed by the President on 26 June 1992) BE IT ENACTED by the National Assembly of the Republic of Namibia, as follows: 1. Section 23 of the Agricultural Bank Amendment Act, 1991, is hereby amended by the substitution for sub section (2) of the following subsection: "(2) ill Notwithstanding the repeal of the Agricul tural Credit Act, 1966 in terms of subsection (I), but subject to the provisions of this section, the provisions of section 10, II, IS, 16. 18, 19,]2,36, 37, 42, 43, 46 and 47 of the said Agricultural Credit Act, 1966, shall remain in force in respect of any assistance rendered under any provision of that Act before the repeal of that Act by subsection (I) of this section as if that Act were not so repealed. For the ur oses of the a lication b the Agricultural Bank of Namibia of the provisions of section 35 of the Agricultural Credit Act, 1966, in terms of subsection (3) of this section, the Agricultural Bank of Namibia shall act in No. 434 Act No. 15, 1992 Government Gazette 8 July 1992 AGRICULTURAL BANK MATTERS AMENDMENT ACT, 1992 3 Short title and com mencement. accordance with such conditions as may be determined by the Minister of Agriculture, Water and Rural Development generally or in respect of a particular case.". 2. This Act shall be called the Agricultural Bank Matters Amendment Act, 1992, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 31 January 1992.
