THE SURVEYORS ORDINANCE 1960 (Ordinance No.22 of 1960) SURVEYORS (REGISTRATION AND ADMINISTRATION) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS ·1996 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Surveyors Ordinance 1960, the Surveyors Board, with the approval of the State Secretary, hereby makes the following regulations: I. These Regulations may be cited as the Surveyors (Registration and Administration) (Amendment) Regulations 1996, shall be read as one with the Surveyors (Registration and Administration) Regulations 1989 (hereinafter referred to as the "principal Regulations") and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the first day of January, 1996. 2. Regulation 7 of the grincipal Regulations is amended by inserting, iminediately after sub-regulation (2), a new sub-regulation (3) as follows: "(3) In any survey where land for different purposes is surveyed together, the fee shall be charged in accordance with the Table appropriate for each purpose.". 3. ''1be Second Schedule to the principa] Regulations is amended (a) in the "CONTENTS" (i) by substituting for the words appearing against "Table 2" thereof the following: "FOR SURVEY OF LAND HELD UNDER PART II, PART III AND PART IV OF THE LAND ORDINANCE CAP. 68 FOR OTHER THAN AGRICULTURAL PURPOSES." and (ii) by inserting, immediately after the words "Table 11 - DIS BURSEMENTS", the following: "TABLE 12 TABLE 13 TABLEl4 ADDITIONAL FEE FOR SURVEY OF LAND FOR MINING FOR SURVEY OF LAND FOR TEMPORARY OCCUPATION LICENCE"; (b) in Table I, by substituting for the words "Charge for lines for Azimuth, connections and controls" appearing in item 3 thereof the words "Charge for lines for azimuth, connections, controls and sections of boundary lines"; (c) in Table 2 (i) by substituting for the heading thereof the following: 63 "FOR SURVEY OF LAND HELD UNDER PART II, PART Ill AND PART IV OF THE LAND ORDINANCE (CAP.68) FOR OTHER THAN AGRICULTURAL PURPOSES".; (ii) by substituting for the words "The Survey fees for land held under Part II for other than agricultural purposes and land held under Part Ill of the Land Ordinance, Cap.68 namely:-" appear ing immediately below the heading the following: ''1he survey fees for land held under Part II, Part ill and Part IV of the Land Ordinance (Cap.68) for other than agricultural purposes, namely:-"; (iii) by substituting for the figures "300.00 400.00 500.00" appearing in item (n) the figures "100.00 I 10.00 120.00" respectively in the appropriate columns; (iv) by substituting for the words "Lines for azimuth, connections and controls" appearing in item "(o) the words "Lines for azimuth, connections, controls and sections of boundary lines"; and (v) by inserting immediately after item (o) a new item (p) as follows: "(p) Charge for the (a) (b) (c) re-establishment of old boundary marks found missing or out of position for each mark refixed or replaced ................ 150.00 per 150.00per 150.00per "; and mark mark mark ( d) by inserting, immediately after Table 11, the following new Tables 12, 13 and 14: TABLEl2 ADDITIONAL FEE Additional fee for survey of boundary or traverse lines in hilly areas, fresh water swamp and tidal swamp shall be charged as follows: (a) Hilly above IS-degree slope (b) Fresh water swamp (c) Tidal swamp RM 0.50 per metre 2.00 per metre 3.00 per metre 64 TABLE13 SURVEY OF LAND FOR MINING The survey fees for the survey ofland forthe purpose of mining lease shall be as follows: (a) I. Disbursements where applicable, are as provided in Table 11. TABLEl4 65 RM 2.50 per metre 150.00 per mark FOR SURVEY OF LAND FOR TEMPORARY OCCUPATION LICENCE (T.O.L.) The fees for the survey of land for different purposes under T.O.L. shall be as follows: Basic charge For logging, logpond & extraction of sea sands For residential, commercial and industrial purposes RM 950.00 as per rates prescribed under Table I as per rates prescribed under Table 2 4.
