ENACTED by the Legislature of the State of Sabah as follows: 1. This Enactment may be cited as the Sabah Forestry Shon title Development Authority (Amendment) Enactment, 1991, and shall 8nd com- t be deemed to have come into operation on 1st January, 1982. mencemen · 4 Amendment of section 24. Enactment No. 24 of 1981. Sabah Forest Development No. 1 of 1991 Authority (Amendment) 2. Section 24 of the Sabah Forest Development Authority Enactment, 1981, is hereby amended by substituting a semi-colon for the full-stop appearing at the end of paragraph (3) thereof and by inserting immediately thereafter the following new paragraphs (4) and (5): " ( 4) to encourage, promote, supervise and undertake afforesta tion and reafforestation to supplement the production of timber from natural forests; (5) to carry out the development of forestry-based settlement schemes through implementation of afforestation and reafforestation to uplift the socio-economic standards of the rural populace.".
