ANIMALS (IMPORT AND EXPORT EXAMINATION FEES) RULES 2010 PU(A) 374/2010 IN exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 86(2)(l) of the Animals Act 1953[Act 647], the Minister makes the following rules: 20 November 2010 1. Citation and commencement (1) These rules may be cited as the Animals (Import and Export Examination Fees) Rules 2010. (2) These Rules come into operation on 1 January 2011. 2. Import examination fee Any person who imports any animal or bird shall be charged with a fee as listed in the First Schedule for the examination carried out by the veterinary authority at place of arrival or any place as the veterinary authority may appoint. 3. Export examination fee Any person who exports any animal shall be charged with a fee as listed in the Second Schedule for the examination carried out by the veterinary authority at such place as the veterinary authority may appoint. FIRST SCHEDULE (rule 2) Item Fee a. Dog RM40.00 per head b. Cat RM25.00 per head c. Deer RM5.00 per head d. Horse RM50.00 per head e. Cattle or camel RM1.00 per head f. Goat or sheep RM0.50 per head g. Day old chick from breeder chicken, duckling, ostrich, goose or quail RM100.00 per head h. Day old chick for commercial purpose RM100.00 per head i. Pet bird or pet chicken RM40.00 per consignment j. Ostrich RM10.00 per head k. All birds except for birds at item g, h, i and j RM0.50 per head l. Pig RM10.00 per head m. Zoo animal, circus, competition or exhibition RM50.00 per head n. Animal for research activity RM10.00 per head o. Animal for other purposes RM50.00 per head p. Egg from animal RM50.00 per license or permit SECOND SCHEDULE (rule 2) Item Fee a. Dog RM20.00 per head b. Cat RM10.00 per head c. Deer RM5.00 per head d. Horse RM50.00 per head e.
