LA \\'S OF l\1ALA \VI Cv11trol and Diseases<~( Animals Cap. 66:02 CO.\IPLIANCE \\ITJ l RULES NOTICE under r. 2 lf file Diseases of A 11i11111/s (Cattle) Rules It is hereby notified that ;di owners or persons in charge of cattle within an 8-kilometre radius of Government dipping tanks are required to comply with the Diseases of Animals (Cattle) Rules. The said Rules require all owners or persons in charge of cattle 27 G.N. l 70/1948 59/l%0 L.R.O. 1/1980 28-34 [Subsidiary] LAWS OF MALA \\'I Cap. 66:02 Crmtrnl and l)iseas('S of Animals Diseases of Aninmls (S:ock Ro11re) Rules (a) to inform forthwith the ncnrcst veterinary officer of nny death among such cattle and to dcli\'cr to the veterinary officer within 24 hours of such death, the spleen of the deceased aninrnl; (b) to inform forthwith the nearest veterinary omcer of any sickness among such cattle; (c) to maintain and give veterinary treatment to such cattle in such manner as the veterinary officer shall direct; (d) to assemble such cattle for inspection in such manner as the veterinary officer shall direct; (e) to give such information as to sickness, increases and decreases in and keep such records of such cattle as the veterinary omcer shall require. Failure to comply with any of these requirements renders the person responsible for the failure liable to a fine of K2 and to imprisonment for one month.
