Radiation Protection (Licensing of Radiation Practices) Regulations 2013 GN No. 256 of 2013 Government Gazette of Mauritius No. 99 of 9 November 2013 THE RADIATION PROTECTION ACT Regulations made by the Minister under section 24 of the Radiation Protection Act 1. These regulations may be cited as the Radiation Protection (Licensing of Radiation Practices) Regulations 2013. 2. In these regulations — “Act” means the Radiation Protection Act. 3. (1) The Authority may grant or refuse an application made under section 11(3) or 12(1) of the Act. (2) Where the Authority grants an application under section 11(3) or 12(1) of the Act, it shall issue a licence to the applicant in such form as it may approve. (3) Any licence issued under paragraph (2) shall not be transferable and shall be valid for such period as may be specified in the licence. 4. For the purpose of sections 11 (6)(b) and 12(4) of the Act, the fee for the issue and renewal of a licence shall be as specified in the Schedule. 5. Any application made under section 12(1) of the Act for the renewal of a licence shall be submitted to the Authority at least 30 days before the expiry of the licence. 6. No licensee shall continue a practice after his licence has expired unless his licence is renewed. 7. These regulations shall come into operation on 1 November 2013.
