Fisheries and Marine Resources (Extension of Net Fishing Season) Regulations 2023 GN No. 136 of 2023 Government Gazette of Mauritius No. 84 of 30 September 2023 THE FISHERIES AND MARINE RESOURCES ACT Regulations made by the Minister under section 74(1)(f) of the Fisheries and Marine Resources Act 1. These regulations may be cited as the Fisheries and Marine Resources (Extension of Net Fishing Season) Regulations 2023. 2. In these regulations – "Act" means the Fisheries and Marine Resources Act, 3. For the purpose of section 14(5) of the Act, a person may fish at sea, in any river, lake or dam with a large net, pocket net, gill net or canard net for the period starting on 1 October 2023 and ending on 10 October 2023. 4. These regulations shall not apply to the Island of Rodrigues. 5. These regulations shall come into operation on 1 October 2023. Made by the Minister on 29 September 2023.
