Environment Protection (Amendment of Schedule) Regulations 2017 GN No. 40 of 2017 Government Gazette of Mauritius No. 25 of 4 March 2017 THE ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION ACT Regulations made by the Minister under section 96(1) and (2)(a) of the Environment Protection Act 1. These regulations may be cited as the Environment Protection (Amendment of Schedule) Regulations 2017. 2. In these regulations “Act” means the Environment Protection Act. 3. The Fifth Schedule to the Act is amended, in Part B – (a) by deleting item 18 and replacing it by the following item 18. Highway and mass transit system, except for the light rail transit system known as the Metro Express Project and undertaken by Metro Express Ltd, a company with registration no. C16142606 (b) by deleting item 20 and replacing it by the following item 20. Housing project and apartments above 50 units within one kilometre of high water mark other than for housing projects implemented by the National Housing Development Company Ltd Made by the Minister on 3 March 2017.
