District Council of Savanne (Environmental Health) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 GN No. 132 of 2019 Government Gazette of Mauritius No. 80 of 3 August 2019 THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT Regulations made by the District Council of Savanne under Sections 50, 59, 60, 61, 158 and 163 of the Local Government Act 2011 as subsequently amended. 1. These Regulations may be cited as the District Council of Savanne (Environmental Health) (Amendment) Regulations 2019. 2. In these regulations — The Principal Regulation means the District Council of Savanne (Environmental Health) Regulations 2018. Regulation 26 of the Principal Regulation is amended by adding the following: 26(v) No scavenging fee shall be claimed for activities listed in schedule (1) part (iii) SCHEDULE 1 [Regulation 26] Part III List of trade activities exempted from payment of scavenging fee: 1. Bread seller (52595) 2. Contractor for hire of audio equipment/decorative items (71309) 3. Contractor for hire of construction plants and equipment (71290) 4. Contractor for hire of scaffolding equipment, tubular tent and accessories (71220) 5. Contractor of motor vehicles per motor vehicles excluding contract motor vehicles for the conveyance of tourists (71111) 6. Driving School (80901) 7. Gas seller (52397) 8. Job contractor (other than Grade A or B) (45203) 9. Seller of Milk/milk products (52599) 10. Owner of bus for public transport (60211) 11. Owner of goods vehicle (60232) 12. School bus operator (60212) 13. Taxi/Carrier A (6022l) 14. Importer/ manufacturer/ seller of gold and silver wares and other precious metals and/or stones (52370) 15. Economic operators which outsource the removal of waste, subject to evidence provided to the Council to that effect. 16. Any economic activity which does not generate waste, subject to evidence provided to the Council to that effect. These regulations will be deemed to take effect on the 1 st of July 2019.
