1. These regulations may be cited as the Consumer Protection (Control of Sale of Imported Live Animals for Home Slaughter) (Amendment) Regulations 2025.
2. In these regulations— "principal regulations" means the Consumer Protection (Control of Sale of Imported Live Animals for Home Slaughter) Regulations 2010.
3. Regulation 6A of the principal regulations is revoked and replaced by the following regulation -
6A. (1) The retail selling price of imported live cattle shall, during the specified period, not exceed 174 rupees per kilogramme. (2) In this regulation - "specified period" means the period starting on 3 May 2025 to the day following .2 days after the religious ceremony of Eid-UI-Adha in the year 2025.
4. These regulations shall come into operation on 2 May 2025 Made by the Minister on 2 May 2025.
