B 1958 L.N. 208 of 2001 ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION ACT, 2001 (ACT NO. XX OF 2001) Nomination of Environment Protection Department as the competent authority BY virtue of the powers conferred on him by article 6 of the Environment Protection Act, 2001, the Minister for the Environment has nominated the Environment Protection Department as the competent authority for the purposes of the said Act, to carry out the functions of the competent authority under the said Act: Sohowever that the said Minister may by regulations issued under the said Act, establish that another person or body shall be responsible for the performance of such regulations.
