Dairy Industry (Sales by Producers) (Amendment) Regulations, 2007 (L.N. No. 120 of 2007)

14th June, 2007 LEGAL NOTICE No. 120 DAIRY INDUSTRY ACT (Cap. 336) IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Dairy Industry Act, the Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Development makes the following Regulations – THE DAIRY INDUSTRY (SALES BY PRODUCERS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 2007 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Dairy Industry (Sales by Producers) (Amendment) Regulations, 2007. 2. The Dairy Industry (Sales by Producers) Regulations in these Regulations referred to as the “principal Regulations” are amended in regulation 4 by deleting paragraph (1) and substituting therefor the following new paragraph – “(1) The following licences may be issued following an application made under regulation 3 – (a) Primary producer’s licence (b) Processing licence which shall authorize the processor to – (i) process milk; and (ii) operate a mini dairy and cottage industry; (c) Milk bar licence; and (d) Cooling plant licence. 3. The principal Regulations are amended by deleting the word “twelve” and substituting therefor the words “twenty four”. 4. The First Schedule to the Regulations is amended by – (a) deleting item 1 and substituting therefor the following new item – “1. Application for licence ………………………….. 100” (b) deleting item 2 and substituting therefor the following new “2 Primary producer’s licence fee …………………….. 500” (c) deleting item 4 and 5.
