JERSEY POTATO EXPORT MARKETING (REGISTRATION OF PRODUCERS) (JERSEY) ORDER 2001 Revised Edition 01.160.35 Showing the law as at 1 January 2006 This is a revised edition of the law Jersey Potato Export Marketing (Registration of Producers) (Jersey) Order 2001 Article 1 Revised Edition – 1 January 2006 Page - 3 01.160.35 JERSEY POTATO EXPORT MARKETING (REGISTRATION OF PRODUCERS) (JERSEY) ORDER 20011 THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE, in pursuance of Article 4 of the Agricultural Marketing (Jersey) Law 1953,2 orders as follows – Commencement [see endnotes] 1 In this Order – “Law” means the Agricultural Marketing (Jersey) Law 1953;3 “register” means the register of producers kept by the Minister in pursuance of Article 4 of the Law; and “Scheme” means the Jersey Potato Export Marketing Scheme 2001.4 2 Registration under the Scheme shall be effected by the delivery to the Minister of an application for registration, signed by the applicant, in such form as may be prescribed by the Chief Officer of the administration of the States responsible for the administration of this Order and the entering in the register of the name of the applicant. 3 (1) The Minister shall not enter in the register the name of any person who fails to satisfy the Minister that the person is a producer. (2) The Minister shall not enter in the register the name of any person where the total area of land in the occupation of that person is less than 10 perches. Article 4 Jersey Potato Export Marketing (Registration of Producers) (Jersey) Order 2001 Page - 4 Revised Edition – 1 January 2006 01.160.35 (3) The Minister may refuse to enter in the register the name of any person whose name has been removed from the register under the provisions of the Scheme. 4 Where the name of a registered producer is removed from the register under the provisions of the Scheme, the Minister shall notify the registered producer in writing that the registered producer’s name has been so removed. 5 This Order may be cited as the Jersey Potato Export Marketing (Registration of Producers) (Jersey) Order 2001.
