L178, 28.6.2013, p.1);”; (ii) for the definition “pet animal” there shall be substituted the following definition – “ ‘pet animal’ has the same meaning as in Article 3 of the Community Regulation.”; (b) in paragraph (5) after the words “pet animal” there shall be added the words “of a species listed in Part A of Annex I to the Community Regulation”. Article 3 Diseases of Animals (Rabies) (Importation of Mammals) (Amendment) (Jersey) Order 2016 Page - 4 R&O.9/2016 3 Article 2 amended In Article 2 of the principal Order after paragraph (2) there shall be inserted the following paragraph – “(2A) Paragraph (1) does not apply to a pet animal which is a rodent or rabbit brought into Jersey from – (a) a member State of the European Union; or (b) any of the following countries or territories – Andorra, Switzerland, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Greenland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Vatican City State, provided that, if the animal was brought into that member State, country or territory from another country or territory, it was imported there legally under the laws of the importing member State, country or territory.”. 4 Article 5 amended In Article 5 of the principal Order – (a) in the heading to Article 5 for the words “dogs and cats” there shall be substituted the words “dogs, cats and ferrets”; (b) for the words “every dog and cat” there shall be substituted the words “each dog, cat and ferret”. 5 Article 10 amended In Article 10(8) of the principal Order after the words “pet animal” there shall be added the words “of a species listed in Part A of Annex I to the Community Regulation”. 6 Schedule amended In Part 2 to the Schedule in the column under the heading “Common names of some species” opposite the entry “Carnivora” after the word “cats” there shall be inserted the word “ferrets,”.
