Note :. 1, The delineatingboundariesalongrivers. creeksand backwatersshallbegovernedby the distance upto which the tidaleffects are experiencedand where salinity concentration is not less than 5 parts per thou sand (ppt). For this purposethe salinity measurements shallbemade during thedriest period of the year. Note:- 2. In the case of ecologically fragile areas such as Chilka Lake and Pulicat Lake, the coastal area shaIl extenduptoa distanceof two Ions. fromthe bound aryof me lakes. [F.
