In exercise of 't he powers conferredby Secelons 6 and25 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 nf 1986), the Central Govcmm enthereby makes the following rules further ttl amend the Envinmrncnt (Pm tcction] Rules, 1 ~86,namely : 1. (1) TII<: se rules may be called the Environment (Prot ection) Third Amendment Rules, 2008. (2) They shall come into force on th e dat e of their publication in the Official Gaze tte. 2. In theEnvironment (Protection) Rules, 1986, (i) in Schedule I, at serial number 23, relating to "S ulphuric Acid (Emis sion ofSulphur Dioxide and Ac id Mist),' for the existing entri es, the following shall be substituted, namely: S.
