This Order may be cited as the Food Safety Authority of Ireland Act, 1998 (Amendment of First and Second Schedules) (No. 1) Order, 2000. 2. The effect of this Order is to amend the First Schedule to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland Act. Since the Act was passed in July 1998 new food legislation has been passed and existing food legislation has been amended or revoked. In effect, this Order updates the list of food legislation contained in the First Schedule. The Second Schedule is also amended to take into account the change in the name of the Minister for Agriculture and Food (now the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development).
