EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (OFFICIAL CONTROL OF FOODSTUFFS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1999 I, BRIAN COWEN, Minister for Health and Children in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 ( No. 27 of 1972 ) hereby make the following Regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Official Control of Foodstuffs) (Amendment) Regulations, 1999. 2. In these Regulations: “the Principal Regulations” means the European Communities (Official Control of Foodstuffs) Regulations, 1998 [ S.I. No. 85 of 1998 ]. 3. The Principal Regulations are hereby amended by: (a) the substitution, wherever it appears, for “Article” of “Regulation”, for “Articles” of “Regulations”, for “sub-article” of “paragraph”, and for “sub Irish Statute Book file:///D/HTML/ire54242.htm[15.01.2025 17:54:45] articles” of “paragraphs” except in regulation 10(1) and 23(1). (b) in regulation 10(1), the substitution for “subarticles” of “regulation” and the substitution for “Article” of “regulation”. (c) in regulation 7, the substitution for “Articles 8 to 10” of “these regulations”. (d) in regulation 11, the substitution for the words “In exercising his powers under Articles 6 to 10 of these Regulations” of “In exercising his powers under these regulations”.
