(a) by substituting for the definition of “Directive” the following: “ ‘Directive’ means Directive 2009/28/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 April 20092, as amended by Article 2(5) of Directive (EU) 2015/1513 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 September 20151;”,
(b) by substituting for paragraph 1 of Schedule 3 the following: “1. The greenhouse gas emission saving from the use of biofuels and bioliquids shall be: (a) in the case of installations starting operation after 5 October 2015, at least 60 per cent; (b) in the case of installations that were in operation on or before 5 October 2015, at least 35 per cent until 31 December 2017 and at least 50 per cent from 1 January 2018.”, and 1 OJ L No. L239 15.9.2015 p.1 2 OJ L No. L140, 5.6.2009, p. 16 Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in “Iris Oifigiúil” of 9th December, 2016.
