No. 305 of 2016 EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (IMPORTATION OF ANIMALS AND ANIMAL PRODUCTS FROM THIRD COUNTRIES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2016 I, MICHAEL CREED, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communi ties Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving effect to Council Directive 90/675/EEC1 of 10 December 1990 and Council Directive 91/496/EEC2 of 15 July 1991, hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Importation of Animals and Animal Products from Third Countries) (Amendment) Regulations 2016. 2. The European Communities (Importation of Animals and Animal Products from Third Countries) Regulations 1994 (S.I. 255 of 1994) are amended by the insertion, after Regulation 6, of— “7. (1) An authorised officer may require the production of the original certificate relating to an animal or animal product to which these Regu lations relate and may take up and retain the certificate.”.
