CONTROL OF FISHING FOR SALMON (AMENDMENT) ORDER 1996 I, Eamon Gilmore, Minister of State at the Department of the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 29 of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1962 (No. 31 of 1962), as amended by section 11 (5) of the Fisheries Act, 1980 (No. of 1980), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1977 (S.I. No. 30 of 1977) (as adapted by the Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1987 (S.I. No. 82 of 1987)), and the Marine (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order, 1995 (S.I. No. 199 of 1995), hereby order as follows: REG 1 1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Control of Fishing for Salmon (Amendment) Order, 1996. (2) The Control of Fishing for Salmon Order, 1980 (S.I. No. 360 of 1980), the Control of Fishing for Salmon by Drift Net (Kerry Fishery District) Order, 1982 (S.I. No. 367 of 1982) and this Order may be cited together as the Control of Fishing for Salmon Orders, 1980 to 1996. REG 2 2. REG 3 3. Article 4(1) of the Control of Fishing for Salmon by Drift Net (Kerry Fishery District) Order, 1982, is hereby revoked. REG 4 4. The Control of Fishing for Salmon (Amendment) Order 1982 (S.I. No. 368 of 1982) is hereby revoked. GIVEN under my hand this 31st day of October, 1996. This Order revises the prescribed the maximum numbers of commercial salmon licences which may be issued by Regional Fisheries Boards under the Control of Fishing for Salmon Order, 1980 and the Control of Fishing for Salmon by Drift Net (Kerry Fishery District) Order, 1982.
