[The Cross-boundary Movement of Physical Currency and Bearer Negotiable Instruments Ordinance, Chapter 629, Laws of Hong Kong](https://www.elegislation.gov.hk/hk/cap629!en?INDEX_CS=N) ("the Ordinance") establishes a declaration and disclosure system on the cross-boundary transportation of large quantities of currency and bearer negotiable instruments into and out of Hong Kong for the purposes of anti-money laundering and counter-financing of terrorism. The system does not restrict the free flow of legitimate capital.
