Quinata Toni Sanford Ray Tenorio AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE GUAM WATERWORKS AUTHORITY TO CONNECT AUTHORIZED WATER OR WASTEWATER SERVICES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES, BY ADDING A NEW §14410 TO TITLE 12, GUAM CODE ANNOTATED. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF GUAM: Section 1. A new §14410 is hereby added to Title 12, Guam Code Annotated, to read: “§14410. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Guam Waterworks Authority shall not deny any person a water meter or water services whenever an applicant for a water meter or water services has paid all necessary basic connection fees or offered to pay such basic fees, when there is a functional water line within one hundred feet (100’) of the applicant’s property boundary, or when an existing waterline is within one hundred feet (100’) of an applicant’s boundary that can be made operational by Guam Waterworks Authority connecting it to any main water line.” Section 2. Severability. If any provision of this Act or its application to any person or circumstances is found to be invalid or contrary to law, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of this Act which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or applications, and to this end the provisions of this Act are severable.
