S T A T U T O R Y I N S T R U M E N T S 2014 No. 3363 SEA FISHERIES, ENGLAND SEA FISH INDUSTRY The Fishing Boats (Satellite-Tracking Devices and Electronic Reporting) (England) (Amendment) Scheme 2014 Approved by both Houses of Parliament Made - - - - 18th December 2014 Laid before Parliament 6th January 2015 Coming into force in accordance with article 1 The Secretary of State, in whom the powers conferred by section 15(1) and (2) of the Fisheries Act 1981(a) are now vested(b), makes this Scheme in exercise of those powers and with the approval of the Treasury. Citation and commencement 1. This Scheme may be cited as the Fishing Boats (Satellite-Tracking Devices and Electronic Reporting) (England) (Amendment) Scheme 2014 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made. Amendment of the Fishing Boats (Satellite-Tracking Devices and Electronic Reporting) (England) Scheme 2012 2. For paragraph 13(3)(b) of the Fishing Boats (Satellite-Tracking Devices and Electronic Reporting) (England) Scheme 2012(c), substitute— “(b) if a payment has already been made under this Part in respect of the installation of approved software on the boat, unless the application relates to the updating of that software”. We consent Mark Lancaster Gavin Barwell 18th December 2014 Two of the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty’s Treasury EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Scheme) This Scheme amends the Fishing Boats (Satellite-Tracking Devices and Electronic Reporting) (England) Scheme 2012 (S.I. 2012/1375) (“the 2012 Scheme”). The effect of the amendment is to allow the Secretary of State to make payments in response to applications by the owners, charterers and masters of fishing boats (or their representatives) for funding for updates to software already installed on boats under the 2012 Scheme.
