Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information (Amendment) Regulations 2012 (S.I. No. 3005 of 2012)

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information (Amendment) Regulations 2012. (2) Subject to paragraph (3), these Regulations come into force on 1st January 2013. (3) Regulation 3(3) comes into force on 29th September 2013. Amendment of the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products Regulations 2010

2.—(1) The Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products Regulations 2010(c) are amended as follows. (2) In Schedule 1 (declaration of conformity) in the table at paragraph 4 after item 12 insert— “13 A water pump Commission Regulation (EU) No 547/2012 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to ecodesign requirements for water pumps(d) 14 An air conditioner or a Commission Regulation (EU) comfort fan No 206/2012 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of (a) S.I. 2010/1552. (b) 1972 c. 68. Section 2(2) was amended by the Legislative and regulatory Reform Act 2006 (c. 51), section 27(1)(a), and the European Union (Amendment) Act 2008 (c. 7), Part 1 of the Schedule. (c) S.I. 2010/2617, as amended by S.I. 2011/2677. (d) OJ No L 165, 26.6 2012, p28. the Council with regard to ecodesign requirements for air conditioners and comfort fans(a)”. 3.—(1) The Energy Information Regulations 2011(b) are amended as follows. (2) In the table at Schedule 1 (EU measures) for the entry relating to air-conditioners substitute— “Air conditioners Commission Delegated 1st January 2013”. Regulation (EU) No 626/2011 supplementing Directive 2010/30/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to energy labelling of air conditioners(c) (3) In the table at Schedule 1 (EU measures) for the entry relating to tumble driers substitute— “Household tumble driers Commission Delegated 29th September 2013”. (d) OJ No L 123, 9.5.2012, p1, as corrected by a corrigendum (OJ No L 124, 11.5.2012, p56). 2 EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations make amendments to the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products Regulations 2010 (S.I. 2010/2617) and the Energy Information Regulations 2011 (S.I. 2011/1524) and partially implement four EU Commission Regulations as follows— (a) regulation 2 inserts additional products (water pumps, air conditioners and comfort fans) into the table in Schedule 1 (declaration of conformity) to the Ecodesign for Energy- Related Products Regulations 2010; (b) regulation 3(2) substitutes the reference to air conditioners in Schedule 1 (EU measures) to the Energy Information Regulations 2011; and (c) regulation 3(3) substitutes, from 29th September 2013 the reference to household tumble driers in Schedule 1 (EU measures) to the Energy Information Regulations 2011.
