Decree No. 30 of 1967 defining input data for animal registration, vaccination and testing

(Original Arabic - pp 30 - 34) Decree No. 30 (1967) - "Legal" on Determining the data inputs to the registration, injection and testing records The Minister of Agriculture After considering Item (d) of Article 131 of Law No. 53 (1966) promulgating the Agricultural Law, Decides Article 1 Registration records must include the following data : a) Animal Registration Application Form (Application Form No. 1 veterinary Registration) comprising: Name of animal owner, district/zone, competent veterinary unit, markaz (administrative district), governorate, date of submitting declaration, registration date. Serial Number (and data filled in by owner): animal variety (male/female). Data (Data on the animal, inscribed by the veterinary physician on registration), comprising pedigree, age (year/month), colour, distinguishing features, female pregnancy, registration number, owner's declaration that the indicated animals comprise all he possesses of cows, buffalo and their offspring, in the district and up to the date of submitting the application, as well as his pledge to notify any changes that may occur therein - resulting from the sale, purchase, slaughter, death, delivery/abortion of offspring, or the appearance of any disease symptoms - to the district mayor or police station to inform the nearest veterinary administration. This declaration must be signed by the owner and the data therein endorsed by the district mayor, and checked / corrected by the registration physician, and the registrar's declaration of having entered the data in the register book. At the bottom of the application - after entering the above-mentioned information - the registration procedures are noted, comprising the registration of cows and buffalo, and offspring, that the registration cards and ear number tags were handed to the owner who has signed for their receipt. The application is to be signed by the receiver (or stamped by his seal), the mayor and the veterinary physician. b) Numeration Register and Possessions Registration of the cows of every village ( Form No. 2 Veterinary Registration) comprising: Registration No., Group Symbol, Serial Number, Registration Office, Name of village, Markaz (administrative district) and governorate. Registration number and date, animal variety and age (year/ month), name of possessor, date of transfer of possession, name of new possessor, registration number, settlement of release, registrar' s signature, veterinary physician's confirmation. c) Numeration Register and Possessions Registration of the buffalo of every village (Form No. 2 Veterinary Registration) comprising the previously-mentioned data. d) Registration Card (Model No. 3 - Registration) : yellow for cows and blue for buffalo. These cards are to be given to each animal holder and on one side contain the following: Name of holder, village, Markaz (administrative district) and governorate, animal variety and age (year / month) , registration number and date and signatures of the registrar, the mayor and the veterinary physician. On the other side, the card contains: Date of vaccination against cattle plague (rinderpest) and other diseases, type of serum, lot number, and signature of administering physician. 2 e) The Veterinary Unit / Department must keep an Animal Registration Book (Form No. 4 - Registration) to record the name of the animal holder, village, veterinary unit, markaz (administrative unit) and governorate. Each line will be given a serial number, against which is entered the registration number and date, animal characteristics: species, strain, genus, age (year/ month), colour, distinguishing features, condition at registration (pregnancy of females and animal quality), change of ownership ( date and name of new owner - residence district, markaz (administrative unit) and governorate ), animal generation ( date of birth, genus of offspring, disposal (sale) of offspring and date), animal's fate / destiny (date, lot, inspection result). Each page of this register will be signed by the registrar and physician. Article 2 The records of inoculation/ tests (Register No. 108 - Veterinary) must comprise the following information : a) Name of disease against which animals were tested, district, markaz (administrative governorate. inoculate or unit) and Data on utilized serum (or tested material) : type of serum, lot number, date of preparation at veterinary laboratories, time of preparation for use, Animal registration number: daily serial number, number of plastic tag: bar code, number and colour. Name of animal owner Animal characteristics : variety - build - colour - age (year / month) - value - inoculation (test) date, temperature prior to inoculation. In the case of the death/ slaughter of the animal: type of disease and date of death/ slaughter. Each page of this register will be signed by: the head of the inoculation units - head of the inspection committee - mayor of the district. Article 3 This decree is to be published in the official Egyptian Gazette and is effective as of 11 March 1967. Written on 9 March 1967.
