1996 REGISTRATION OF SHIPS (AMENDMENT) ACT 16 407 COMMONWEALTH OFDOMINICA ACT No. 16 OF 1996 I assent C.A SORHAINDO President. 15th January, 1997 AN ACT TO AMEND THE REGISTRATION OF SHIPS ACT, (CHAP. 48:01). (Gazetted 16th January, 1997.) BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Dominica as follows: 1. This Act may be cited as the REGISTRATION OF SHIPS (AMENDMENT) ACT 1996. Short title. 2: In this Actthe Registration ofShips Act is referred to as "the Interpretation. Act". Ch.48:01. 408 1996 REGISTRATION OF SHIPS (AMENDMENT) ACT 16 Amendment of 3. Section 2 of the Act is amended by deleting the defmition section2 of the Act. of "Minister". Amendment of 4. Section 6 of the Act is amended by deleting the words "of section 6 of the Act. the Ministry of Trade" from paragraph (b). Amendment of S. Section 9(5) of the Act is amended by deleting the words section 9 of the Act. "Ministry of Trade" and replacing them with the word "an". Commencement. 6.
