2005 LAND SURVEY ACT 12 (AMENDMENT) . COMMONWEALTH OF DOMINICA ACT No.12 OF 2005 I assent (Sgd.) N. J. Liverpool President 23rd January, 2006 AN ACT TO AMEND THE LAND SURVEY ACT, CHAPTER 53:04 (Gazetted 2nd February, 2006). BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Dominica as follows: 1. This Act may be cited as the LAND SURVEY (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2005. Short title. 175 LS 2005 LAND SURVEY ACT 12 (AMENDMENT) 176 2. In this Act the Land Survey Act is referred to as “the Act.” 3. Section 2 of the Act is amended by inserting in alphabeti cal order the following definitions: “Community” means the Caribbean Community including the CARICOM Single Market and Economy established by the Treaty; and “Treaty” means the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas establishing the Caribbean Community including the CARICOM Sin gle Market and Economy signed at Nassau, The Bahamas, on the 5th day of July, 2001. 4. Section 6 of the Act is amended by repealing subsection (2) and substituting the following new subsections: “ (2) For the purposes of subsection (1) “licensed surveyor” includes a surveyor licensed to practice in any Member State of the Community.” (3) A fee, as may be prescribed by the Minister, shall be payable to the State in respect of the grant of a licence to a surveyor.” Passed in the House of Assembly this 20th day of December, 2005.
