~ ~~$~ Leases Restrictions Amendment Regulations 2016 --=== HE Tom Marster;---~~ Queen's Representative Order in Executive Council At Avarua, Rarotonga this p5-f day of 2016 Present: His Excellency the Queen's Representative in Executive Council Pursuant to section 13 of the Leases Restrictions Act 1976 (as amended), His Excellency the Queen's Representative, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations 1 2 3 4 Title Commencement Contents Principal regulations amended Approval may be given in certain cases Regulations 1 1 1 1 1 Title These regulations are the Leases Restrictions Amendment Regulations 2016. 2 Commencement These regulations come into force on the day after the date on which they are made. 3 Principal regulations amended These regulations amend the Leases Restrictions Regulations 1977 (as amended). 4 Approval may be given in certain cases (I) Regulation 19 is amended by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (f) 2 Leases Restrictions Amendment Regulations 2016 "(g) The government of New Zealand and any agency of that government where "(i) Cabinet has approved the use to which the leased land will be put; and "(ii) that use is a pubJic purpose within the meaning of section 364 of the Cook Islands Act 1915; and "(iii) the occupational use of the lease caonot be varied." These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Justice. These regulations were made on the / i/!-day of ¥d 2016.
