Notice of decision 2 If the Act requires the minister, the director or the commission to give a person notice of a decision, written reasons or any other notice, the notice or reasons are to be provided by registered mail or personal delivery. Reporting release of pollutants 3(1) For the purpose of subsections 30.1(3) and (4) of the Act, a person who is required to report the unauthorized release of a pollutant must — as soon as the person knows or ought to know of the release — report it as follows: (a) in the case of a report to the director, by telephoning Manitoba Conservation at (204) 944-4888 and reporting the release to the person who answers the call; (b) subject to subsection (2), in the case of a report to any other person, by reporting the release in person or telephoning the person and making the report. In that case, the person must report the release in the manner required by the director or the environment officer. 3(2) Le directeur ou l'agent de l'environnement peut demander à une personne qui est visée à l'alinéa (1)b) de faire la déclaration d'une autre manière que celle qui est mentionnée à cet alinéa.
