S.M. 1998, c. 43 THE NORWAY HOUSE CREE NATION NORTHERN FLOOD MASTER IMPLEMENTATION AGREEMENT ACT Table of Contents (Assented to June 29, 1998) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows: Definitions 1 In this Act, "Implementation Agreement" means the Agreement effective as of December 31, 1997 and concluded between (a) Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada, (b) Her Majesty the Queen in right of Manitoba, (c) the Norway House Cree Nation, and (d) the Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board, pursuant to negotiations relating to the comprehensive implementation of the Northern Flood Agreement; (« accord de mise en oeuvre ») "Northern Flood Agreement" means the agreement dated December 16, 1977 and concluded between (a) Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada, (b) Her Majesty the Queen in right of Manitoba, (c) the Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board, and (d) the Northern Flood Committee Inc.; (« Convention ») "Norway House Cree Nation" means the Norway House Cree Nation, also known as the Norway House Indian Band, a band within the meaning of the Indian Act (Canada). (« nation crie de Norway House ») Settlement of claims 2 All present and future rights of (a) the council of the Norway House Cree Nation; (b) the Norway House Cree Nation; (c) any person who is a member of the Norway House Cree Nation or the estate of a person who is a member of the Norway House Cree Nation; (d) any group or unincorporated association, whose membership is wholly or substantially comprised of members of the Norway House Cree Nation; (e) any unincorporated association or corporation established by the council of the Norway House Cree Nation; (f) any share capital corporation, the shares of which are wholly or substantially owned and controlled by the Norway House Cree Nation or members of the Norway House Cree Nation; and (g) any corporation without share capital, the membership of which consists wholly or substantially of the Norway House Cree Nation or members of the Norway House Cree Nation; respecting any claim or matter in dispute under the Northern Flood Agreement shall be resolved in accordance with the Implementation Agreement and not in accordance with the Northern Flood Agreement, except where the Implementation Agreement otherwise provides.
