AR 252/94 Forest Technology School Rates (Consolidated up to 94/2003) ALBERTA REGULATION 252/94 Forests Act FOREST TECHNOLOGY SCHOOL RATES REGULATION Definitions 1 In this Regulation, (a) "Department" means the Department of Sustainable Resource Development; (b) "Department employees" means employees of the Government employed in the Department; (c) "Forest Technology School" or "School" means the Forest Technology School at Hinton, Alberta. AR 252/94 s1;206/2001 Rates for courses and facilities, other than meals and accom- modation 2(1) The rates for the use of facilities, instructional services, audio visual equipment, books, paper and miscellaneous supplies of the Department for courses or meetings conducted by the Department at the Forestry Technology School, but not including meals and accommodation, are as follows: (a) for Department employees and persons sponsored by the Department for attendance at the School nil; (b) for other persons $100 per day or $500 per week. (2) The rates for the use of classrooms, audio visual equipment and miscellaneous services and supplies (including food as far as applicable) for courses or meetings at the Forest Technology School, other than those conducted by the Department, are as set out in the Schedule. General rates for meals and accommo-dation 3(1) In this section, (a) "guests" means persons sponsored by the Department for attendance at a course or event at the Forest Technology School, guest lecturers at the School and special guests of the School; (b) "students" means students enrolled full-time at a school of technology or a university in Alberta; (c) "others" means persons other than Department employees, guests or students. Department employees or guests who elect not to board at the School while attending a course shall be reimbursed for the expense of accommodation and meals at the rate of $11.61 per day. 2. Rates are for meals in the cafeteria. 3. * Accommodation and meals are only available to students at the weekly rate and are only available to persons other than students, guests or Department employees at the daily rate. Repeal 4 The Forest Technology School Rates Regulation (Alta. Reg. 300/90) is repealed. Expiry 5 For the purpose of ensuring that this Regulation is reviewed for ongoing relevancy and necessity, with the option that it may be repassed in its present or an amended form following a review, this Regulation expires on March 31, 2005.
