Interpretation Interprétation 2 In this Order, Act means the Natural Products Marketing (British Columbia) Act; (Loi) Commodity Board means the British Columbia Turkey Marketing Board established pursuant to the Act; (Office de commercialisation) market allotment means the total quantity of turkey meat that a producer is entitled to market in intraprovin cial, interprovincial and export trade pursuant to the Canadian Turkey Marketing Quota Regulations and the orders made by the Commodity Board pursuant to the Plan; (allocation de commercialisation) Plan means the British Columbia Turkey Marketing Scheme, established and amended from time to time pur suant to the Act and any regulations made thereunder to give effect to the Plan; (Plan) producer means any person engaged in the production of turkey in the Province of British Columbia; (produc teur) turkey means a turkey of any variety, grade or class that is raised or kept for slaughter within the Province of British Columbia and sold for slaughter. (producer) Levies Contributions 3 Every producer shall pay to the Commodity Board, in addition to the licence fees set out under the Plan, levies at the rate of $0.05 per pound live weight on every turkey sold by him that is in excess of his market allotment. 3 Tout producteur paie à l’Office de commercialisation, en plus des droits de permis prévus au Plan, une contri bution de 0,05 $ la livre de poids vif pour chaque dindon qu’il vend en excédent de son allocation de commerciali sation. Method of Payment Mode de paiement 4 (1) Every person who buys turkeys from a producer shall deduct from the moneys payable to the producer for the turkeys all levies payable by the producer to the Com modity Board under section 3 and shall pay such levies to the Commodity Board at its office in Surrey, British Columbia, not later than the 15th day of the month next following the month in which the levies were deducted. 4 (1) Quiconque achète du dindon d’un producteur dé duit du prix d’achat les contributions payables par le pro ducteur à l’Office de commercialisation en vertu de l’ar ticle 3 et les verse à l’Office de commercialisation, à son bureau de Surrey, Colombie-Britannique, au plus tard le 15e jour du mois suivant le mois de leur déduction. (2) Every producer shall pay to the Commodity Board at its office in Surrey, British Columbia, all levies payable by him under section 3 that were not deducted and paid to the Commodity Board in the manner prescribed in sub section (1), not later than the 15th day of the month next following the month in which the turkeys in respect of which the levies are payable were sold.
