No. 81] Fisheries BELIZE: STATUTORY INSTRUMENT No. 81 of 2019 REGULATIONS made by the Minister responsible for Fisheries in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 13 of the Fisheries Act, Chapter 210 of the Substantive Laws of Belize, Revised Edition 2011, and all other powers thereunto him enabling. (Gazetted 7" December, 2019) 1. These Regulations may be cited as Citation. FISHERIES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 2019, and shall be read and construed as one with the Fisheries Sub. Leg. Regulations, which, as amended, are hereinafter referred to a Vol. IV as the principal Regulations. Regulation 37 of the principal Regulations is amended of regulation 37. by (a) repealing sub-regulation (3) and substituting the following— “(3) A person applying for a Fisherman’s Licence under sub-reguiation (2:01) shall submit to the Fisheries Administrator— (a) acompleted application form; (b) the prescribed application fee; and (c) any of the following— (i) avalid Belizean Passport; fi) a aia Belizean Voters Identification Card or Social Security Card, along with proof of address; or (iii) a valid Belizean Driver’s Licence, accompanied by a Belizean Birth Certificate or Belizean Nationality Certificate.”; and (b) repealing sub-regulation (3:01) and substituting the following— “(3:01) The Fisheries Administrator shall not grant a Fisherman’s Licence unless the applicant— (a) isa Belizean; (6) is at least 18 years of age; No. 81] Fisheries (c) provides evidence of residing in Belize for a continuous period of at least six months prior to the date of application; (@) provides evidence that the marine product will be for sale only in Belize; (e) provides original receipts of sale of marine products in Belize, if the application is for the renewal of a Fisherman’s Licence.”.
