2019/05/27 OBJECTS AND REASONS This Bill would validate the adjustment in water and sewerage rates levied and collected by the Barbados Water Authority from the 1st day of May, 2019 Arrangement of Sections Short title Validation 1. 2. 2 BARBADOS A Bill entitled An Act to validate the adjustment in water and sewerage rates levied and collected by the Barbados Water Authority from the 1st day of May, 2019. ENACTED by the Parliament of Barbados as follows: Short title This Act may be cited as the Barbados Water Authority (Validation of Water and Sewerage Rates) Act, 2019. Validation The increase in water and sewerage rates levied and collected by the Barbados Water Authority from 1st May 2019 to the date of the commencement of the Barbados Water Authority (Water and Sewerage Rates) (Amendment) Regulations, 2019 (S.I. 2019 No. ) shall be deemed to have been lawfully and validly levied and collected as if the rates had been prescribed pursuant to section 28(3) of the Barbados Water Authority Act, Cap. 274A.
